Wychbold Fudge was first established in 2014 by Justin and Helga. The business grew year by year with them attending lots of different markets and coming up with wonderful flavours, most of which we still produce.
Sadly, Helga passed away leaving Justin to run the business and bring up two young children, naturally family came first and Wychbold Fudge was handed over to Sheena and Adam in 2020 just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit us.
But that didn’t stop them and through all of the struggles, rules and regulations they managed to grow the business even further through online sales. Eventually when restrictions were lifted they started to once again attend markets and food festivals, again coming up with their own unique flavours along the way.
At the start of 2024 Sheena and Adam decided to pass the business on looking for another local family who would truly love and nurture it pushing it even further. After a few months with no production we decided to step in, having known Wychbold Fudge since the start and knowing Sheena we knew we couldn’t see this wonderful product go for good.
I have always worked in the food industry with cooking and baking being my passion and having spent the last 9 years in food production I knew this was something I could happily take on and continue. With my partner and children also involved we are loving all the challenges and enjoying working together as a family.
We are continually working on new flavours to add as well as seasonal specials, introducing our wonderful fudge to more local farm shops and getting ourselves booked into lots of markets and food festivals, we are always keeping busy.
We are extremely pleased and honoured that we are able to keep Wychbold Fudge going as a small local family business, that truly is loved by the whole family.
